Hit by SSS again -_-

Sun, 06/13/2010 - 5:36AM by fujiwari 0 Comments - 3 Views

SSS ( Sudden Sick

Syndrome)

Only kena-able by me. Freaking hell, this is the 2nd time I sit down, then feel a little warm, take my temperature and boom: come out with a fever and sore throat. Why does this stupid disease keep finding me!!  Well, the last time, it was a very serious case of throat infection and my fever hit up to 38.5 so it was pretty scary.

This time was pretty minor, but the sore throat is still irritating as hell. Thanks to this illness also, I missed out days to go to the IT Fair. zzz. I literally spent my days sleeping, watching TV and well... wasted my time. Anyway, I watched Evangelion 2.2 : You can (not) advance. My first time watching an Evangelion anime movie, but it was pretty cool and stuff. The robots have blood and react to their pilots' reactions. ahh.. lazy to blog from here haaha.

Mini Gathering for 5n1 2009

Fri, 06/04/2010 - 11:51AM by fujiwari 0 Comments - 7 Views

Sunny, Rainy

I woke up at 10am today because Pillai wanted me to go to school to sign something. Actually it is kinda my fault, I didn't meet him yesterday as I finished my INCG paper at 3.30 and didn't want to wait so long for everyone to be done. So I woke up, gamed a little and left. It was freaking hot man, the weather. I reached at 1.50 and saw him and Ken walking into the IT block. I quickly chased after him, signed the thing. (It is like some kind of swear that you will not break TP rules lol).

Left for home after that and at 7pm, I met my friends at Tanah Merah MRT station. We gathered today: Andy, Howard, Keegan, Wai Zhen, Yongkiat, Xuan Kai, Yu Zhuang, Jackson and Jacob today to have dinner at Simpang Bedok! It's been awhile since I seen Yu Zhuang and Jackson since school started and everyone was busy. I tried the Garlic Mushroom Steak today. It was freaking awesome :D. As we were eating, the clouds started coming in and it started drizzling. I opened my umbrella as Andy is still eating LOL.

After dinner, we headed to Andy's house for a little drink and slacked awhile before going home. At the interchange, I waited for like half an hour for a bus 69 to come -_-. Reached home at 11.30pm. Fun day, hope to do more gatherings soon. :)

Damn Weird Day 2/6/10

Wed, 06/02/2010 - 8:29AM by fujiwari 0 Comments - 4 Views

Rainy, Sunny.

Today is like a totally weird day for me. Oh yeah, Web Design test today... well I flunked it. Nevermind about that, a whole bunch of weird things happened today.

  •  First : I left my house to go to Bedok; Concession EZ-Link card says it expired. Went home, take teritary card.. zzz
  • Second : After eating Botak Jones with Andy, Howard and Qi sheng, we went to Q-Essential to drink bubble tea, this crazy guy starts patroling all the shops then he started screaming chinese songs LOL
  • Third: KFC Blacked out when I am walking to the bus interchange just now.
  • Forth: Grats sia, repair the bus queue at night, all the passengers anyhow scatter also don't know where to queue up to board the damn bus. SBS personal there don't even intent to create a makeshift bus queue ffs.

Well, the person should know who he is la, I don't want to elaborate more. I don't hate people man, I just critic their attitute and behavior. You said why we always count you out on outings and stuff, but you should know why. For the past 3 months, practically 3/4 times I smsed you for an outing, you say you will come but in the end give some excuse and just don't show up. I don't mind at all, but of course everytime you do this I'll think you are so busy that I won't bother to call you out the next time. Hope this don't happen again. Classmates for 5 years already.

It's been awhile.

Thu, 05/27/2010 - 11:07AM by fujiwari 0 Comments - 4 Views

Heyy, it's pretty darn long since I last blogged. Anyway, all these while, a load of events have happened. The poly-life I'm expecting didn't turn out to be so "true". Where did I hear from that Poly life is slack? I'll punch that guy in the face.. poly is anything but SLACK. First things first, we are dependent on OURSELVES. Everything is done independently. If you still expect people to spoon-feed you like in secondary school, you can dream on.

Simple stuff like printing notes, getting exam time tables, all these are to be done by ourselves, students at the Student Portal.  Although it has it's ups and downs, I'll write about my life now at Temasek Polytechnic.

My class, C262 is finally getting united. We joke around alot and the whole class is full of enthusiastic people. I have some difficulty in catching up with CMATHS ever since I missed 2 lessons for being a gei kiang bastard, try to go school with fever. Another subject which literally kills me is INCG.. Why must we create board games. That's the last thing I'm expecting when doing Introduction to Computer Games. I'll like to do more reviews and stuffs, but board games.... damn.

To summarise, I'll say  that life in Poly is NOT slack, and the initial thought to join Games and Entertainment Technology to play games have completely vanished. Now I'm all ready to learn some programing languages!~ PS : Thank you everyone who came to celebrate my birthday at Yuki Yaki, I greatly appreciate it, even though I never receive much gifts! :D

Kick-Ass

Sat, 04/17/2010 - 6:56AM by fujiwari 0 Comments - 6 Views

Movie review time!

Movie: Kick Ass (M18)

Plot: 9/10

Storyline: 8/10

Humor: 8/10

Overall:8.3/10

This is the first M18 show that I've watched in a cinema. Thanks to the kind auntie that allowed us near birth-days to watch. Okay, the story of Kick-ass is basically nearer to the reality, where super-heroes do not exist. The main character wonders why nobody wants to be a superhero that fight crime, as he is a constant victim of crime himself. He is portrayed as a comic book nerd with his other two friends. After getting robbed again, he decides that he will take matters into his own hands. He bought a scuba diving suit and a mask and called himself "Kickass". He created a Twitter account and goes out to find the two people who robbed him the other day. Armed with a stick, he fights but loses, ending up getting stabbed and hit by a car. The story drags on to meet a father and a daughter. (Freaking hell, she is like only 11? and her daughter shouts vulgarities like nobody's business lol!) Anyway, I aint gonna spoil more, on to the humor.

Really funny at times, but the gore seriously freaked me out. One of them had his finger chopped off, the other one was microwaved till he World Spawned.(Split into gits) and the other one was crushed by a vehicle crusher. The last part was the only part that's not really realistic, jet packs.

Favorite parts in the movie:

-His kick-ass attempt to save Mr Bitey the cat LOL.

-Kick-ass gets called Ass-Kicked

-The young girl puts on her night vision goggles and fight the enemy counter strike style

-The young girl goes to the camera and says "Shows over mother fuckers" before silencing the camera!

The movie is really great and I'll recommend it any other day! *PS: the sex scene was unnecessary.

Cycling day out 2.

Sun, 04/11/2010 - 7:46AM by fujiwari 0 Comments - 5 Views

Cloudy, Drizzled.

Today, the few lot of us went out to cycle again. This time, Wai Zhen, Xuan Kai and Andy joined us. Keegan and Bing Hong went to slack at the beach while we cycled around Pasir Ris beach. The tide was pretty high. I saw a dead cat on my way to Pasir Ris. I prayed for it, having a safe journey to the afterlife. Can tell it is a hit and run, as it's eyes are open.

Anyway, we went to the spider web first, and I think someone stepped onto the ant's nest before we came, the entire sand is flooded with ants. Most of us standing there got bitten immediately. We continued to cycle after Xuan Kai and Wai Zhen rented their bikes. It started pouring suddenly and we seeked shelter at the toilet hut. It quickly stopped and we continued cycling. Today was pretty rough, many of us kept cycling quickly. (Now my knees hurt.)

We then left and went to T1 for dinner at subway. Played a round of Jubeats and then went home. Tiring as usual, but funnn. School is starting, wonder how I'll fare.

Trip down to my Ancestors

Sat, 04/10/2010 - 2:45AM by fujiwari 0 Comments - 5 Views

Okay, I'll keep this short. I went to China for 5 days for the sole purpose of visiting my ancestors in Fuzhou. I didn't know the Ang family's roots spread out so far out to china. I am called "Uncle" by one of my younger relatives there omg. I arrived at their house at around 11pm that day, and I was super demoralised when I saw how run-down the building was. It was like the old Kampung houses you see.. but everything changed when I stepped inside.

It was totally different inside, they have all the household appliances you would see in our homes, and their wooden house is attached to a 3 story apartment. That's right, an apartment. I stayed in the 3rd floor and damn, they have a huge-ass LCD TV right in their living room. The street was really quiet at night, but in the day it was like watching a movie. The motorcycles honked here and there, swirling left and right on the streets. The food the aunt there cooked for us was damn delicious, It's like eating in a restaurant!  Okay, I'll split the 5 days into paragraphs for eye candy purposes :D/

Day 1

Went up the streets to "shao mu", my grandfather's father's grave. It was located on a pretty steep hill without any stairs or road up. We have to climb up and because it was raining for several days, the sand became mud. I have to help grandma up as she's pretty old and walking tire her out easily. Once we are there, we cleaned the area of stray leaves, set up, burnt "Jing Zhi" and set off some firecrackers. My first time playing firecrackers. It was damn loud, and dangerous; that's why it's banned here isnt' it. When the fire crackers went off, one fragment actually hit my face ahaha.

Day 2

Pretty much nothing happened, we went up the shopping centre in the city of Fuzhou. Seriously; people there smoke in air-con rooms! Bought a hat for 30 RMB. = $6 SGD HAHA!

Day 3

My uncle's friend drove us in a mini bus to the mountains and we had several activities there. We stayed in a hotel that night. Went to a Cave then a Canyon, forgot the name. It was very beautiful, and the air is super fresh. This is the part which ruined my trip experience.  As we were in a hurry, I had no time to decide weather I want to bring my Iphone charger out or not. In the end I did not and my Iphone went out of battery. As a half-hailbroken iphone, I cannot turn my phone back on as it's stucked in recovery mode. Great. all 3 days of photos I taken are lost. Bad mood for the rest of the day, and can't sleep at the hotel that night.

Day 4

First we boarded a ferry and it took us around the lake to places of interests. Then we went uphill further and went on the bamboo boat ride. It was the best part of this trip. I threw the unhappiness that my iphone's data was lost and had fun. It was a 16.5km ride downstream with 2 experienced rafters. The bamboo boat is basically just 14 bamboo poles tied together and more bamboo are made into chairs attached onto it. It was very simple, doesn't really look sturdy but it did. It was a 2hour raft downstream and we enjoyed the fresh air and scenery there. Went on board the bus back to Fuzhou at 4pm. Arrived back the house at 8pm.

Day 5

Waked up at 6am and packed my stuff. Went up the plane and flew back to singapore. Thats all.

Seriously; if my iphone did not cock up during the trip, I'll shove this trip up the 2nd most fun... 1st being Japan. 2nd still being Royal Caribbean and 3rd. This.

WTFBBQ - 2/4/10

Fri, 04/02/2010 - 8:17PM by fujiwari 0 Comments - 8 Views

Cloudy, super cloudy.

Firstly, I want to thank to weather forecast for not being right this time, our BBQ would be trashed if it started raining! Okay, basically, the Chinese boys held a BBQ at my condo. Thanks to Howard, who organised this trip, and the rest who assisted him in making this event a success. A day before the BBQ, Howard, Andy, Wai Zhen and I went to Bedok Interchange to get the basic stuff for the BBQ like the grill, utensils etc etc. The next day, we put high hopes on the weather as it seemed sunny. We moved the food to the Condo and waited for the rest to come.

At 5pm, we started grilling; only to realise we don't have a lighter. In the end, our first fire ignited at 6pm with the help of Mrs Tan's husband. With only 4 hours, it was difficult to finish the cooking all the food. The clouds suddenly drifted towards our area. It almost seemed that it would rain but in the end, it did not! Thank the weather! At 10pm, the security guards chased us away and we have to move the food upstairs. We ate while playing a few rounds of True and Dare, then I played Xuan Kai's laptop for awhile. We talked throughout the night but in the end I slept at 5am. The rest left at 9am, leaving only me and Howard left to pack the house up. I let Howard sleep awhile longer while I washed the dishes, blah blah blah... We then locked up the place and left.

It was a very fun BBQ, and it's success is all thanks to everyone who came! :D 5n1 2009 FTW!

28/3/09

Sun, 03/28/2010 - 6:12AM by fujiwari 0 Comments - 5 Views

Sunny

Suddenly had to work at my Dad's today. Luckily I slept early...(oh. 1am is not my idea of late...) and I managed to pull myself up at 7am today. I cycled to work today, it was fairly warm since morning, but I enjoyed the morning ride.  Yay to me for not getting a headache at work today. Work was pretty busy, as expected for a Sunday. The bean curds were all sold out by 11.30am. I had to make a lot of drinks and in the end, I only manage to leave the shop at 1.30pm.

Sigh.. I feel really nervous. I am really anti-social I guess. I'm afraid to go to the Freshmen Orientation Camp for TP... I think I'm too afraid of how my first impression will be on other people. I also will have trouble sleeping probably, because it isn't my own bed and a bloody sleeping bag. Howard told me time will make me friends, and hopefully this will be true!  I still remember how I met him. We both played the same game at that time which was Pristontale. Ah... the nostalgic memories.. I wanna list down how I met my Secondary School mates in this post! Hope you guys enjoy reading!

Howard - Played the same game.

Jater - Met him when he was chatting with Shang Geng and I joined in.

Abram - Friendly Approach

Phong Su - Mistook him for Abram after recess, his first word was "Shut Up" to me LOL. I still remember!

Qi Sheng - Interest in Anime.

Keegan - Gah. I forgot how I met keegan. LOL sorry!

Andy - Met when the N2s joined the N1s in secondary 3.

Bing Hong -  Met when the N2s joined the N1s in secondary 3.

Xuan Kai - Met when the N2s joined the N1s in secondary 3.

Wai Zhen - Met when the N2s joined the N1s in secondary 3.

Yu Zhuang - Met when the N2s joined the N1s in secondary 3.

Jackson - Met when the N2s joined the N1s in secondary 3.

There are many more great friends I met in Changkat. Those fond memories indeed! Hope we keep in contact!

To the Barrage

Mon, 03/22/2010 - 8:48AM by fujiwari 0 Comments - 3 Views

Relatively Cloudy, Sunny

Today I woke up at 9.30am and played a round of DotA before I left my house to meet Xuan Kai at the century square arcade. We were one of the first two customers and the Jubeats machine was empty! :D.  There I practiced on several songs before Wai Zhen came in to join us. We played versus mode and I managed to get a handful of Extreme Tunes played ( with a C grade! First time playing!) Soon Jater and Qi Sheng arrived and at 1.50pm we met the rest, Howard, Andy, Keegan, Bing Hong, Pei Eng, Phong Su at Toys 'R' us to get a Kite.

NEVER buy a kite from Toy 'R' us man, the design of the kite is so fail! We went for lunch first then left for Marina Barrage. We alighted at Marina Bay (freaking trip cost $2! ) and took bus 400 to our destination. First time here, and I really liked the place! It's really wide and the rooftop is perfect for kites! Not ours though, our freaking butterfly kites never managed to fly. In the end, Some of them threw in more money and purchased a $25 kite. It easily went up to the skies, no complaints. We played some games, chatted around till 7.30pm and left the place. Howard and the rest decided to eat dinner at Simpang Bedok. I wasn't really hungry so I skipped out on it. It was near 9pm when I reached Tampines, left for home straight.

Flying kites is always the best with friends around. Ex-5n1 2009 - You are the best! :D
